In the history of Bharat (India), Bengal has been a centre point of MahaShakti since many centuries for Sanatan Dharma and Buddhist traditions, both.

Specifically, Bengal in the public eye is known more for Shaakt Tapasya (Shri Devi Shakti), Gaudiya Bhakti (Shri Vishnu Hari) and the less understood Tantra maarg.

All the Tapasyas, Kriyas and Sadhanas may not be known to the public. There will always be something that is more deeper, mystical or Rahasyamay.

Depending on the Sadhak, the mystical truths gradually get revealed. The highest truth of ParaShakti is beyond Good or Bad, Right or Wrong and also beyond the principles of Time & Space.

Just a general or superficial understanding can only create judgements & beliefs, which are within the boundaries of Mind.

Only a Limited Mind, definitely wont help to dive into the secrets of ParaBrahm/Brahmand.

The deeper truth about Bengali Sadhus & Tapasvis is like an eye-opening mystery, which definitely includes Shri Yogiraj Vishuddhanand Paramhamsa, who realised the Tantra, Yog and Vigyan maarg as well.

Many Yogis and Tapasvis were born in Bengal and were also publicly known including Shri Chaitanya MahaPrabhu, Shri Ramakrishna Paramhamsa, Swami Vivekanand and many more.

But there were many Yogis, who wished to remain away from the limelight of the Public and were absorbed in their Tapasyabal & Adhyatma.

Born during the 1700s & 1800s, the most secretive or least known Yogis of Bengal were;

1. Shri Loknath Brahmachari (Born : 1730)

2. Shri Shyamacharan Lahiri Mahasaya

(Born : 1828)

3. Shri Vishuddhanand Paramhamsa

(Born : 1853)

Shri Loknath Brahmachari was from Bardi near Dhaka, Bangladesh. His basic principles included;

Hatha Yog of Shri Gorakshanath

Ashtanga Yog by Shri Patanjali

Shri Shyamacharan Lahiri Mahasaya was from Krishna nagar, Bengal. His basic principles included the Kriya part of Patanjali Yog Sutra to take the actions of ;

Tapasya

 Svadhyay

 Bhakti towards Ishvar.

Shri Vishuddhanand Paramhamsa was from Bardhaman, Bengal. His basic principles included the teachings of Siddhashram/Gyanganj;

 Yog maarg

 Tantra maarg

 Vigyan maarg
