OM GURUBHYO NAMAH

Shri Vishuddhanand Paramhamsa (1853-1937) is a Siddha Yogi from Gyanganj (Siddhashram), Tibet. He was a master of Spiritual and Natural sciences, both alike.
He became a Brahmachari, then a Tirth Swami and then a Dandi Swami.
Later, he attained Hamsa avastha (consciousness level wherein gross and subtle world becomes one). Hence, Siddhashram Gurus blessed him as the Paramhamsa Sadhu.
(To know more about stages of Sannyasa Jeevan, study Sannyasa Upanishads).
Shri Vishuddhanand Paramhamsa established the Navmundi Asan (highest tapasya in Shaakt Tantra) in Kashi (Varanasi) in 1935. He is the only Sadhu to have mentioned the rarest of rare, Surya Vigyan (Solar divine science). Shri Gurudev was also a Homeopath and Ayurved Doctor. He also mastered Dev Jyotish, which is a divine branch of Vedanga or Vedic Astrology (science of Causality). He is also known as Gandha Baba or Perfume saint due to lotus like smell emanating from his navel (Manipur chakra) after the daily sadhana.
Many sadhaks even today experience the presence of Gurudev through the fragrant smell spreading around them.

"Whatever God does or gets done, is always for the best. A human being has no power to do good or harm to anybody."

YOGIES NEVER DIE EARLY LIFE

Shri Gandh baba was an ardent Tapasvi of Maa Kali Mahavidya.
As Shiv and Shakti manifest together, Gurudev walked the paths of both Shaiv and Shaakt Tantra. Sanatan Dharma says that Brahmand or Universe is run by MahaShakti or Divine Feminine.Devi Maa or Mother Goddess always has her unique ways to transform & run the world through unknown, unrevealed mysticism.
Shri Vishuddhanand Paramhamsa would often visit the Mangala Chandi Temple. It is located around 15 kms away from Guskara town in Bengal. It is one of the 51 Shakti peethas, wherein right wrist of the Maa Sati fell. Gurudev stayed in Guskara for many years.

GuruDev had great respect for the holy city of Kashi. He had high reverence for River Ganges, Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga and Kaal Bhairav temple. Shri Gandh baba initially stayed at Hanuman Ghat in Varanasi. Later, he established the Vishuddhanand Kanan Ashram in Maldahiya area of Varanasi with the instructions from his Guru in Gyanganj or Siddhashram. Baba also often visited Puri dham in Orissa. He would worship Shri Jagannath & considered the mahaprasad as very auspicious

Bhagwan Shiv is the soul of Shri Vishuddhanand Paramhamsa.
He would carry Shiv linga in his Agya chakra or forehead as a part of his Yog Sadhana.
Naagdevta is the integral part of worshiping Bhagwan Shiv.Gurudevs body would often heat up too much due to Tapasya bal.To cool down his body temperature, often a snake would come near to him and Baba would wear the snake on his body.GuruDev named the snake as ShivDas.He always said that at an advanced stage of Sadhana, Sadhak becomes one with the chosen Ishta Deva/Devi or chosen deity.

GuruDev has strong faith in ancient scriptures. According to him, every word written in the scriptures is the ultimate truth, it is not a myth or a mere story. One surely needs to develop an inner eye to understand the depth of scriptures which originated from the realisation of Sages and Rishis.Shri Vishuddhanand Paramhamsa taught that along with studying scriptures and doing bhakti bhajan, Kriya and Karma are also of utmost importance.
Yogabhyas and Tantra Sadhana always were an integral part of Babas daily routine.

Shri Gurudev followed the Dincharya or daily routine according to Sun cycle (Sunrise to Sunset) and Moon cycle (Sunset to Sunrise). Ayurveda divides 24 hours into Kapha, Pitta and Vata time of the day. Gurudev would finish his lunch by 10am after Deva Arati & Bhog. He taught by self-example that eating during Pitta time of the day (10am to 2pm) aids easy digestion. He would regularly sleep from 9pm to 11pm (Kapha-Pitta time). He said that these 2 hours of sleep were equivalent to 4 hours of sleep taken after 11pm.

Guru Tattva is the highest attainment of a Tapasvi.
ll Gurubhyo Namah ll
Shri Vishuddhanand Baba had highest regards for his Guru.
He would always follow the instructions of his Guru even though sometimes it was of his personal dislike.

Do it! Do it!
Keep doing.
ll Karmebhyo Namah ll
Shri Baba gave great importance to Karma Yoga. Irrespective of what path one chooses, one must keep doing their karmas.
He always performed all his duties towards his family, society, seekers and did his tapasya with endless dedication.

Shri Vishuddhanand Paramhamsa was born in a family with Kashyap Gotra (Gotra is the ancestral lineage related with SaptRishis). We bow down to Rishi Kashyap who is the father of all living beings. Rishi Kashyap is one the manasputras (mind born son) of Lord Brahma. He was the son of Maharishi Marichi and Maa Kala.
Kashyap Samhita or Vraddha/Braddha Jivakiya Tantra (Ayurved text) is the creation of Rishi Kashyap. Vaman avatar, one of the avatars of Lord Vishnu was the son of Rishi Kashyap and Mata Aditi along with other Adityas like Surya and Savitr.
